Happy Halloween! EEK!!! Mouse in the House! - Day 31

 Happy Halloween!
Little Did You Know That The Mouse In This House Was ME!!! HAHA! Yup, I scared some people... No... Not Really. :)
Did you hear that?? WHAT WAS THAT???

Oh it was just a cat! :) Luckily this mouse wasn't afraid of any fat cats...
These two became
BEST FRIENDS!!!
I love my fat lump! :)
I am all set for the Steelers vs. Saints game tonight! The big Halloween Game!!! :)

GO STEELERS!!!

I am a big fan of Troy Polamalu! WOOT! Sadly, I don't have any Steelers garb... so I wore my black shirt and gold beads... that's the best I can do. HAHA! :)
And, I can NOT believe that Blogtoberfest is over... It just went by so FAST!!! But it sure was a lot of fun!!! :) I will definitely be doing it again next year. WOOT!!!

Have a wonderful Sunday Night!

If I Had A Million Dollars... - Day 30

I would buy a yellow mustang convertible, a farmhouse out in the country with a gazebo and a flower garden, and have a barn with about 4  or 5 horses. :)
Today's Crafts:
We were making the crown for Sarah's wedding in January. Sarah is the girl with the blonde hair. Haha!
Yup! So mom cut, formed, and wrapped the crown in ribbon. Then me and Sarah wrapped it in this cool beaded garland stuff. It is super pretty! But I tell you what, that garland got tangled SO easily... it was annoying.
By the end it got easier because there was less to put through the middle and such... but still... ANNOYING!
In the end it turned out great! Sarah likes it. :)
Oh my goodness... I can't believe that tomorrow is the last day of October... WHAT?? It just flew by! ... It's crazy... Haha!

Time Flies When You're Having Fun

... True dat! :)
Have a great night!

First Time For Everything - Day 29

Well, today I made one of those no-sew pillows!
I have always wanted to make a big blanket, but being my first time I thought making something smaller, like a pillow, would be better! :)
GO TARHEELS!!!
University of North Carolina Tar Heels Mens Basketball is some fun stuff to watch! It is one of my favorite college teams... well my only one. HAHA!
One fourth of my family is actually from North Carolina. I have a bunch of aunts, uncles, and cousins who live down there! They are a fun group of people... I love them. :)
I have a bit of a thing for pillows... Haha! I have like a million pillows in my room. They're EVERYWHERE!!!
I really like how this one turned out! I might just have to make another one sometime. Hehe! :)

T.G.I.F!!!
Make it a great day!

I Love Your Funny Face - Day 28

I have decided on days that I don't have anything to post... or maybe I just feel like sharing... I am going to post about some of my top Audrey Hepburn Movies! :)

As you saw in the top picture, this first movie is Funny Face! :) I liked this movie very much. It has Audrey playing in a very fun and spunky role. I just LOVE her in this movie

And of course her co-star Fred Estaire did a wonderful job! They make a great acting duo :)
Oh, this last picture here is a combination of a bunch of crazy dance moves that Audrey was doing. It is one of my favorite scenes in the movie! :)

Anyways, it is a movie that I would recommend if you are a big Audrey Hepburn fan! Well... you could watch it even if you aren't a big fan! :) Te-he!

Have a wonderful night!
(glad I got this post out before 12... cutting it close here. HA!)

Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head - Day 27

Remember this unfinished headband?
Well, I finished it this morning! :)
HAHA! It's funny looking at these two pictures because not much has changed with my face or hair. Except the color. HA! Tho the first picture was only taken about a month ago. :)
I think the beads definitely add a lot to this headband. I was debating for a while just to leave it without the beads... I am glad I changed my mind.
This will make a very good Christmas present, yes? I am thinking it will... but who to give it to... hmmm... ? I'll figure something out! :)
In case you are wondering, and if you read yesterdays post, these are the beads I was stringing at Knit-Night last night. Hehe! Didn't expect to get them all put on the headband so fast, but whatever!
Hope you have a wonderful middle-of-the-week day! :)

"Let Them Eat Cake!" - Day 26

Now this here is a cake worthy enough for Marie Antoinette! It is elegant and delicious!
I decided to take her famous quote to heart and share my wonderful cake with my Knit-Night buddies. :)
"LET THEM EAT CAKE!!!" says I,
...and there was much rejoicing...
"...yaaaay..."
(quote reference for all you Monty Python fanatics!)
I am glad that everyone enjoyed my cake. The pieces were absolutely ENORMOUS! I figured out the reason why. I meant to put 10 shaggy mums on the top so that I could cut it into 10 pieces... but I only made 8 mums... HA! Oh well. :)
The remains of my cake...
The biggest piece of half eaten cake on the bottom is mine... HA! I have made about 3 cakes and I have not actually finished a single piece of any of them. Goodness. Well... it's probably a good thing. Hehe!
Knit-Night was very fun tonight... but I didn't get any knitting done... :P I managed to string a bunch of beads onto some yarn. You will see why in a few days probably! :)
Anyways, hope you all had a wonderful day!

Final Cake Project - Day 25

Today was the last day of my Cake Decorating Basics Class!
HOORAY!!! My teacher will be mailing out the certificates soon, so it will be official. :)
I needed to put the last finishing touches on my cake when I got home. I did all these little dots by improv. HA! Did they turn out ok?
So there it is! My final cake project all finished!
It's called Stunning Mum Profusion.
HA! Cute name! :)
And everything that COULD go wrong DID!
1. I didn't have enough cake batter... so I had to run to the store to get more.
2. The frosting on the cake was supposed to be ivory and the flowers were supposed to be pink... but the ivory looked orange... so I had to make it pink. Then the flowers had to be ivory.
3. I was in such a hurry that I forgot my vanilla wafers at home (those are what the mums are on)... so I had to go to Dollar Tree (which was right by where my class is) and get some wafers... :P
Anyways, in the end it all worked out for the better! :)
You'll never guess what it is filled with...
..........
CHERRY PIE FILLING!!! :D
Can't wait to eat it!!!

Have an awesome night!

My Leftovers - Day 24

What do you do when you have leftover cake mix after making 2 cakes? Why, you make CUPCAKES, of course! :)
It's a good thing I am not a big sweets person, otherwise all these cupcakes and such would make me all kinds of enormous. Hehe!
Aaand what do you with the top of a cake after you have layered it? Why, you swirl some frosting on it and call it wonderful, of course! :)
I am quite excited to eat this! With the first cake top, I just walked around the house and offered chunks to mom and dad. But, this needed just a little something more. HA!
Well... It's halftime in the Packers vs. Vi-Queens game... :( The Pack are not doing so good... Time to go back down and see if anything is happening yet.
*Crosses fingers and whispers* Dear God, let Clay Matthews get a HUGE chunk out of Favre... Please and Thank You

My Cupcake Army - Day 23

 Say hello to my
CUPCAKE ARMY!!! :D
My mom is helping with the meal after church tomorrow, so she volunteered me to make cupcakes...
"It would be good practice!"-Mom
"... Hmph..."-Me
No not really, I wanted to make them! I love it! :) It was a lot of fun. I just had to make sure that the dogs or Fat Lump (my cat) didn't eat them
 Since tomorrow is the
BIG GAME
Packers Vs. Vikings
I decided to frost them Green and Gold, in support of the better team... ;) Let's hope my little act of TEAM SPIRIT helps them beat those Vi-Queens into the TURF! Ha!
Here's to a great Saturday night!
... The calm before the storm... :)

Cozy Winter Hat - Day 22

This here is a nice and cozy winter hat that I finished tonight. I started knitting it last night... :) Yes... knitting takes up every waking minute of my day. HAHA! I just love knitting!
This hat has a front flap (which you can probably see pretty clearly), and the entire back side folds up to form a nice thick brim. Since it is separated, there are two corners that pop out on the sides! I think it is cute! They almost look like ears. :)
The yarn that I used is so incredibly soft too! It just feels fuzzy all over your head! Hehe! LOVE IT!!!
Cold weather can feel free to come along now! I am all set with my waaaaarm hat! :)

Cutie Pie! - Day 21

 Blogger Buddies, Meet Austin! :)
He is the little sweetie that I babysit once a week!
... I would tell you how old he is, but I'm not really sure... HA! I believe he is 2. Some babysitter I am... don't even know how old the kid is. ;) Hehe!
Ah, quality time spent in front of the TV. He is melting his brains at a young age. ;) I had to stop this immediately. HAHA! So we played with this basketball game... which was actually kinda rigged to lose. The little shooter-flinger-thing actually shot the ball above and beyond the court... so it was kinda pointless... BUT FUN!!! :)
So here's a big smile for you! Hoping that you had a pretty awesome Thursday! :)

What's On YOUR Needles? - Day 20

What's on your knitting needles today?
Today, I just started making this "Haughty Hat". I love that I have about 50 skeins of yarn so that when I find a pattern, I can just dig through my yarn till I find the weight I need! :)
I can't wait to get this hat finished!!! I am still thinking about which color buckle to get for the finished touch... Hmm... Any suggestions?
Please, no purple or green. Ix-nay on the ikings-Vay... and I don't need another Packers hat. ;)
As you may know from yesterday, my days are all sorts of messed up... BUT today I can say :

Have a wonderful middle-of-the-week day! :)

Hooray For Cake!! - Day 19

 Hooray For Cake!
I am kinda bummed that I didn't get a picture before I cut it... I forgot... :( Oh Well! The shaggy mum on the top is a flower that I learned how to make in my cake decorating class last night. I managed to put it on the top before I went to the party. Nothing like last minute decorating! HA!
It was actually really yummy! Nobody noticed that it didn't have a bottom... WOOPS! Just a little one-time mistake there! Hehe... :)
Here's the Birthday Girl Savannah! :D She liked her cake very much... and I am glad she did!
Oh my goodness... I was just gonna say "Have a great middle-of-the-week day"... but it's only Tuesday! AH! I am getting ahead of myself! :)
Anyways, have a great night!!

Yummy Goodness! - Day 18

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO SAVANNAH! :)
 CUPCAKES!!!!!!!!! :D
Tonight's class was so much FUN!!! These are raspberry filled french vanilla cupcakes with buttercream frosting. YUM! This was actually the BEST batch of frosting I have made yet. I am so proud of it! It's not too sweet, but just sweet enough to be absolutely delicious!!! :)

I will be posting the cake that I made tomorrow, because I want to get pictures at Savannah's party! :) So check by tomorrow night to see my finished cake!
Hope you had a pretty awesome Monday!
